Netscape Mail Tutorial
	Step #1 - Open Netscape from your Desktop or Start Menu Step #2 - Select the Communicator option from the Toolbar Menu Step #3 - Select and Click the Messenger listing from the Menu

Step #4 - If a Screen like this pops up, check the box and press the Yes button

Step #5 - From the Edit Menu select Preferences... at the bottom of the list

Step #6 - In the Category or Left hand side Menu's Expand the Mail & Newsgroups

Step #7 - From the Mail & Newsgroups Menu Select Identity

Step #8 - Fill in your Full name, username@horizon.bc.ca and Organization, if you have one

Step #9 - Next Select Mail Servers from the Mail & Newsgroups Menu

	Step #10 - Under the Incoming Mail Servers if nothing is there Add in the same fashion explained below. Step #11 - Under the Incoming Mail Servers, if something is there select it and click on Edit.
Step #12 - Under Outgoing Mail Server, mail.horizon.bc.ca should be filled in Step #13 - Also add you username with Horizon Net in "User Name".

Step #14 - Server Name should be mail.horizon.bc.ca

Step #15 - Server Type should be POP3, which is the default

Step #16 - Username is your username with Horizon Net

Step #17 - Click on Save Password box if you don't want to type in your password each time you check your mail.

Step #18 - If you click on Check for mail Every ?? minutes, be aware of 2 things.
1- When you first start Netscape, Netscape mail will automatically attempt to check your mail. If you are not on-line, the Dial-up Networking will start so that you can get connected.
2- If you set the number of minutes to less than 15, and you accidently leave Netscape opened, you will remain on line and use up time until you disconnect. If you set the time for more than 15 minutes, and you leave Netscape opened, Horizon-Net will disconnect automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity. (Note: Certain website will keep your connection active.)

Step #20 - Click on the POP tab. Make sure that you are not leaving your mail on the Horizon-Net server unintentionally. If you do, because you plan to pick up your mail from two locations, be aware that we will charge for mail storage. Also, as your mail box gets to be more than about 1 or 2 Megabytes in size, you will start to notice a significant increase in the time it takes to get your mail.

Step #21 - Click OK out of the edit or new window back to Mail Servers and click OK.

Click okay to finish
